The Study

  • Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) is a rare condition that is characterized by recurrent episodes of severe swelling of the abdomen, limbs, face and/or throat
  • In the case of laryngeal swelling, HAE can be life threatening
  • There are two forms of medication for HAE – preventative and rescue
  • The investigational drug is a preventative treatment that aims to reduce the frequency and severity of HAE attacks.

Study Benefits

  • This study is investigating a preventative medication to determine the efficacy of reducing frequency and severity of HAE attacks

Study Volunteers Must Meet the Following Criteria

  • 18 years or older
  • Male/female
  • Diagnosis of HAE

Study Participant Expectations

  • The subject must be willing to discontinue any preventative medication for the duration of the study
  • Number of office visits: 5-6
  • Duration of study: up to 20 weeks

Cost

  • There is no cost to participate
  • If you qualify, you will be compensated up to $625
